•Preseason favorite Saint Louis (5-2-1) begins its 21st season of Atlantic 10 Conference action Sunday, Sept. 21, as the Billikens host Davidson (4-2-1). Kickoff at Robert R. Hermann Stadium is 1 p.m.

•Sunday's game is the 600th in SLU women's soccer history.
•Through games of Sept. 18, Saint Louis is No. 69 in the NCAA Division I women's soccer Ratings Percentage Index (RPI).
•Neither team played a midweek game after recording shutouts last Sunday. Saint Louis fought to a 0-0 draw with Illinois State to extend its unbeaten streak to three, while Davidson won 1-0 at UNC Asheville. The teams combined for nine clean sheets in non-conference play (SLU five, Davidson four).
•The Billikens lead the Wildcats 6-0 overall and 5-0 in A-10 competition in a series that began in 2002. SLU scored two goals in each of the first six meetings; the Bills have four shutouts and two 2-1 victories vs. Davidson.
•The last three meetings have taken place at Hermann Stadium, including last season's 2-0 Saint Louis win in the A-10 Championship first round. The Billikens prevailed 2-1 in the 2020 (spring 2021) A-10 Championship final and 2-1 in 2018 in the teams' most recent regular-season meeting.
•Saint Louis is 21-4-4 in conference openers (14-3-3 in the A-10, 7-1-1 in Conference USA). Head coach
Katie Shields is 9-2-1 in A-10 openers, including a current eight-game winning streak.
•Saint Louis is 82-9-12 (.854) in its last 103 games at Hermann Stadium, a stretch that dates to the final home game of the 2015 campaign. In those 103 games, SLU outscored opponents 233-40, posted 66 shutouts and allowed more than one goal just three times. Against A-10 opponents during the 103-game stretch, the Bills are 55-1-4 (40-0-4 regular season, 15-1-0 A-10 tournament) at Hermann Stadium.
•Saint Louis leads the A-10 and ranks fifth in the nation in corner kicks per game (8.25). The Billikens are tied for second in the league and tied for 23rd nationally in shutout percentage (.625, five shutouts in eight games), and tied for first in the A-10 in assists per game (2.00).
•Through eight games, SLU has displayed remarkable offensive balance. Eight different Billikens have scored at least one goal, led by
Audrey Smith's three and two apiece from
Rylee Howard and
Hope Kim. Twelve different Billikens have recorded at least one point, led by Smith and Kim with six apiece.

•Davidson was picked to finish ninth in this season's A-10 race following last year's eighth-place tie.
•One of the Wildcats' four wins this season was a 1-0 victory over Atlantic Coast Conference opponent North Carolina State.
•Sophomore midfielder Sophia Whiddon, a 2024 A-10 All-Rookie selection, leads Davidson in goals (three), assists (two) and points (eight). Junior midfielder Kiera Pohan has two goals.
•Freshman Grace Stair (3-1, 0.75 GAA, .850 save percentage) and sophomore Allie Moore (1-1-1, 0.67 GAA, .818 save percentage) have shared time in goal.
