WASHINGTON – Saint Louis University freshman forward Adee Broesder is the Atlantic 10 Conference women's soccer Rookie of the Week for Sept. 22-28, the league office announced Monday.
 
Broesder helped lead the Billikens to a 2-0 record last week, scoring the game-winning goal in both victories.
 
Her goal in the 40th minute gave the Billikens a 2-0 lead at VCU, and SLU went on to win 2-1. Broesder's goal in the 67th minute at George Washington snapped a 1-1 tie and completed the Billikens' 2-1 comeback victory.
 
Broesder's two game-winning goals are tied for third in the A-10. She is tied for the team lead and tied for 10th in the A-10 with three goals and tied for second on the team with seven points.
 
Saint Louis improved to 8-2-1 overall and 3-0 in the A-10 with last week's wins. The Billikens host La Salle Thursday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m.
