No. 16 Saint Louis will look to reclaim the Bronze Boot on Sunday when it hosts the SIUE Cougars at Robert R. Hermann Stadium. Game time is set for 6 p.m.

The Billikens (2-1-1) are coming off a hard-fought 1-0 loss Wednesday at Indiana. SLU had the better of play for much of the game against the fourth-ranked Hoosiers but were unable to capitalize.

SIUE is 1-2-0 on the season, with its lone win coming against Air Force last Thursday. Both of the Cougars' losses (FGCU and at Denver) were by one goal.

Sunday's affair will be streamed on ESPN+, with Dan Bettlach calling the action.

Here are five additional facts in advance of Sunday's match vs. SIUE:

1 // Saint Louis leads the Bronze Boot series 23-7-3. Since the resumption of the Bronze Boot games in 2018, the series is even at 2-2-2. The Cougars are the current keepers of the Bronze Boot, winning the last two games that were played at St. Louis CITY's Energizer Park.

2 // The rivalry between SLU and SIUE extends beyond just the Bronze Boot games. This will be the 42nd meeting between the teams, which includes nine matchups in the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship. SIUE is the Billikens' second most played opponent, trailing only Indiana (48 meetings).

3 // There are several ties to SIUE on the Billikens' coaching staff. Kevin Kalish spent 14 years at SIUE on the men's soccer staff, including six as head coach. SLU assistant coach Kevin Stoll played at SIUE his senior season (for Kalish) after transferring from Illinois-Chicago. Cougar senior Karson Gibbs played for the Billikens for two seasons before transferring to SIUE.

4 // The Bronze Boot game in 1980 set the NCAA all-time attendance record, as 22,512 fans attended the match on Oct. 30 at Busch Stadium.

5 // The Billikens debuted at No. 16 in this week's United Soccer Coaches poll. It's the fourth year in a row SLU has made an appearance in the United Soccer Coaches poll.
