WASHINGTON – Saint Louis University junior defender
Eva Schreiber is the Atlantic 10 Conference women's soccer Defensive Player of the Week for Sept. 1-7, the league office announced Monday.
Schreiber helped Saint Louis go 2-0 last week. She played 80 minutes in a 2-1 win over Missouri State Sept. 4, helping the Billikens hold the Bears to nine total shots (two shots on goal) from her outside back position.
In 76 minutes of action in a 3-0 victory at SIUE Sept. 7, Schreiber tallied a career-high two assists and was part of a SLU defense that limited the opponent to one shot.
Schreiber's assists vs. SIUE were her second and third of the season, tying her for the team lead. She has started all seven games and is second on the team with 557 minutes.
The Billikens (5-2) conclude their non-conference schedule Sunday, Sept. 14, hosting Illinois State at 1 p.m.
