Series History SLU leads 5-1-1

Saint Louis heads to North Carolina to take on Davidson Saturday night in the regular-season finale. Game time is 6 p.m. CT.

It is the final match of the Atlantic 10 Conference slate for both teams, with much at stake. The Billikens can capture the A10 regular-season title and the No. 1 seed in the A10 Tournament with a win and a Duquesne loss or draw at La Salle. Davidson enters the final weekend in fifth place and is looking to improve its standing in hopes of securing a top-four seed and a home game in the quarterfinals.

SLU has won three straight A10 matches. The Billikens have scored 11 goals in their last three conference matches after totaling just four goals in their first four A10 contests.

After dropping three straight matches midway through conference play, Davidson has rebounded with consecutive A10 victories – a 1-0 win against Fordham and a 2-0 victory at Saint Joseph's.

Here are five additional facts in advance of the match:

1 // SLU and World Wide Technology announced a strategic partnership that includes a jersey patch sponsorship (read more).

2 // Tanner Anderson, who scored twice in the Billikens' win against Loyola Chicago on Saturday, leads the Bills with six goals and 12 points. Andrew Heckenlaible (2G, 4A) and Alander Soares (3G, 2A) are next on the scoring chart with eight points apiece.

3 // Lucas McPartlin was named the A10 Rookie Player of the Week on Monday (read more). For the season, he holds a 6-2-3 record, a 0.82 goals against average and four shutouts. He leads all NCAA freshman keepers in GAA.

4 // SLU head coach Kevin Kalish, a three-time A10 Coach of the Year, is in his ninth season at SLU and 15th overall as a collegiate head coach. Kalish is 89-38-39 at SLU and 138-83-53 in his career.

5 // The Billikens lead the all-time series 5-1-1, including last year's 1-0 victory at Hermann Stadium in the A10 semifinals. This is the first regular-season matchup between the Billikens and Wildcats since 2019.
