WASHINGTON – Saint Louis sophomore Sam Lamaze was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Indoor Track and Field Performer of the Week, the league announced today.

It is the second time this season Lamaze has earned A-10 Performer of the Week honors and the fourth weekly accolade of his career.

Lamaze matched his own indoor school record in the 400 meters last week at the Missouri Invitational, hosted by the University of Missouri. He won the event with a time of 47.34, which ranks as the fastest time in the A-10 this season and the eighth-fastest in the Midwest region.

Lamaze and the Billikens will next compete at the Indiana State Open on Saturday, Feb. 21, in Terre Haute, Ind. The A-10 Indoor Championships are set for Feb. 27–28 in Virginia Beach, Va.
