ST. LOUIS – It's a busy weekend of track and field in St. Louis as the Billikens host the SLU Power/Speed Festival on Friday night, then the Billiken Invitational on Saturday.
Coinciding with Friday's home meet is the annual Washington University Distance Carnival. The Billikens will have several distance runners competing in that event beginning Thursday night.
The SLU meets on Friday and Saturday will be held at the SLU Medical Center Recreational Complex on the South campus. Fans are encouraged to park in the Hickory East Garage, located adjacent to the track facility at 3424 Hickory Street. Parking rates are $2 per hour or $6 per day per exit.
The SLU Speed/Power Festival begins Friday at 2 p.m. with the throws. The jumps and track events kick off at 4 p.m.
Saturday's Billiken Invitational gets underway at 10Â a.m. with the throws. The jumps start at 10 a.m., with the first track events beginning at 11:30 a.m.
