Luke Ruch ran on two record-setting relay teams this past weekend at the Drake Relays
DES MOINES, Iowa – Saint Louis competed in its final regular-season meets of the outdoor track and field campaign this past weekend, taking part in the Drake Relays and the Kip Janvrin Open ahead of next weekend's Atlantic 10 Conference Championships in Fairfax, Va.
The Billikens set four school records over the course of the weekend.
At the Drake Relays, the men's 4x200-meter relay team of Boen Brockmiller, Sam Lamaze, Luke Ruch and Will Stewart broke the school record with a time of 1:25.70.
Later, the women's shuttle hurdle relay team of Quincy Hubert, Kate Hartley, Nora Kiley and Ella Coppinger set a new school record with a time of 1:00.81.
The men's 4x400-meter relay team of Carson Amstutz, Luke Ruch, Sam Lamaze and Will Stewart also established a new school record at the Drake Relays, finishing in 3:11.94.
Madeline Rowold broke her own school record in the javelin with a throw of 47.27 meters at the Drake Relays.
Next up for the Billikens is the Atlantic 10 Conference Championships, hosted May 3-4 by George Mason in Fairfax, Va.
