WASHINGTON – Saint Louis senior Tristan Boatman was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Field Performer of the Week, the league announced today.
Boatman extended his own school record in the hammer throw this past weekend at the Pacesetter Invitational at Indiana State, winning the event with a throw of 64.07 meters. It was the third straight meet in which he broke the school record.Â
On the A-10's outdoor performance list, Boatman is first in the hammer throw, third in the shot put and 12th in the discus. His top hammer mark ranks 19th on the NCAA Division I West qualifying list.
He is the second Billiken this outdoor season to earn an A-10 weekly honor after Sam Lamaze was named the league's Track Performer of the Week earlier this season.
Boatman and the Billikens are in action this weekend at the Duke Invitational in Durham, N.C.
