T&F PREVIEW: A-10 Championships this Weekend

FAIRFAX, Va. – The 2026 Atlantic 10 Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held May 2–3 at George Mason Stadium on the campus of George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.

Saturday's action begins at 9:30 a.m. (CT). Sunday's events also start at 9:30 a.m. (CT), with the meet concluding at approximately 1:55 p.m. (CT) with the 4x400-meter relay.

Several Billikens are poised to contend for podium finishes in their respective events. Sam Lamaze will look to capture his third consecutive conference title in the 400 meters after winning the outdoor crown last season and the indoor title in February. He leads the A-10 with a school-record time of 46.50 in the event. Preliminary heats in the 400 meters are scheduled for 3 p.m. (CT) on Saturday, with the final set for 11:15 a.m. (CT) on Sunday.

In the field events, Tristan Boatman enters as the conference leader in the hammer throw with a school-record mark of 64.07 meters. The senior, a three-time indoor medalist, will aim for his first outdoor podium finish. The hammer throw opens the championship schedule Saturday at 9:30 a.m. (CT).

On the women's side, Sophia Pelligreen leads the A-10 in the 10,000 meters with a time of 34:50.25. She is slated to compete Saturday evening at approximately 6:15 p.m. (CT) as she pursues her first conference medal.

Madeline Rowold, who won bronze in the javelin at last year's A-10 Championship, will look for another podium performance in the event, which begins Saturday at 1:30 p.m. (CT).
