ST. LOUIS – Six Saint Louis University tennis student-athletes have been named to the College Sports Communicators 2026 Academic All-District team.
Representing the Billikens are senior
Andres Castellanos, senior
Luca Lo Nardo, senior
Declan Townsend and sophomore
Riki Koshimizu of the men's team, and junior
Emmerson White and sophomore
Aryn Walker of the women's team. Castellanos and Lo Nardo are three-time honorees, while Townsend and White earned the award for a second time.
To be eligible for tennis Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, and be in the lineup for at least 70 percent of the team's total matches that include a team score.
Castellanos is a computer science major with a 3.82 GPA. Also an Atlantic 10 second-team All-Conference choice and All-Academic selection, he led SLU with a career-high 12 overall singles wins and tied for the team lead with seven dual-match victories. Castellanos also posted team highs of 10 overall doubles victories (career high) and nine dual doubles wins, going 9-4 in the No. 3 spot.
Lo Nardo is a finance major with a 3.97 GPA. His eight singles wins ranked third on the team, and he added four doubles victories.
Townsend is a finance major with a 3.93 GPA. He posted four singles victories and five doubles wins.
White, a double major in international business and economics with a 3.99 GPA, registered team-best singles records of 16-7 overall and 12-4 in dual-match competition (all at No. 1). Her 16 total wins are a career high, and her 12 dual victories equaled her career best. White, who also collected first-team All-Conference and A-10 All-Academic plaudits, tied for the team lead with nine total wins and seven dual victories (all at No. 1) in doubles play.
Koshimizu is a biology major with a 4.00 GPA. He finished second on the team with 11 overall singles wins and tied for the team lead with seven dual-match victories.
Walker is a biology major with a 3.85 GPA. Four of her five singles wins and five of her six doubles victories came in dual matches.
