Bills Claim Three Medals on Day One of A-10 Championships

FAIRFAX, Va. – Saint Louis earned three podium finishes on Saturday during day one of the 2026 Atlantic 10 Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships at George Mason Stadium.

Madeline Rowold captured her first conference title in the javelin, breaking her own school record with a winning mark of 49.21 meters.

Tristan Boatman added a silver medal in the hammer throw with a mark of 61.03 meters, securing the fourth medal of his career.

Dalton Perry took home the bronze medal in the javelin in his first outdoor championship appearance, hitting a school-record mark of 61.35 meters.

Two additional school records fell on the day. Sam Bowerman leapt 6.90 meters in the long jump to set a new program standard. In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, John Giricz set a new school record with a time of 9:12.22. Sam Lamaze surpassed the school record in the 200 meters, running 21.29 to advance to Sunday's final.

Action continues Sunday at the A-10 Championships. Sam Lamaze posted the fastest preliminary time in the 400 meters and will compete in the final at 11:15 a.m. (CT).
