Three Billikens Earn A-10 Outdoor Awards

WASHINGTON – Three Saint Louis track and field student-athletes earned Atlantic 10 Conference honors, which were announced today by the league office.

Freshmen Kate Hartley and Dalton Perry were named to the women's and men's All-Rookie teams, respectively, while senior Carson Amstutz earned a spot on the men's All-Academic team.

The All-Rookie teams recognize the top rookie performer in each event based on results from meets conducted throughout the outdoor season through the Atlantic 10 Championships. Selections were determined using marks submitted to the Track & Field Results Reporting System (TFRRS).

Hartley was the A-10's top rookie in the 400-meter hurdles. She qualified for the finals at the A-10 Championships with a time of 1:01.34 before placing sixth overall in the event.

Perry was the league's top freshman javelin thrower after recording a mark of 61.35 meters at the A-10 Championships. His throw placed third overall and established a new school record.

Amstutz earned All-Academic honors through nomination and voting by the league's communications directors. An education major, Amstutz graduated this spring with a perfect 4.0 GPA. He also ran the lead leg on the Billikens' 4x400-meter relay team that finished runner-up at the A-10 Championships in a school-record time.
