More Medals, School Records Cap Successful A-10 Championships

FAIRFAX, Va. – Saint Louis added three more podium finishes and set two school records Sunday to close out a strong showing at the 2026 Atlantic 10 Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships at George Mason Stadium.

Combined with Saturday's results, the Billikens totaled six podium performances and broke eight school records over the two-day meet.

The SLU men matched their best-ever outdoor conference finish, placing fourth overall for the second time (also 2017). The women's team placed 10th.

Sam Lamaze highlighted Sunday's action by winning the 400 meters in a school-record time of 46.42. The sophomore has now captured three consecutive conference titles in the event, winning the 2025 outdoor, 2026 indoor and 2026 outdoor championships.

Tristan Boatman added to his medal haul after earning silver in the hammer throw Saturday, taking bronze in the shot put with a mark of 15.44 meters. He concludes his conference career as one of just five Billikens to earn five or more combined indoor and outdoor A-10 medals, accomplishing the feat in just two seasons after transferring from Troy.

The men's 4x400-meter relay team of Carson Amstutz, Luke Ruch, Will Stewart and Lamaze delivered a runner-up finish while setting a school record with a time of 3:11.08.

Saint Louis also set a school record in the men's 4x100-meter relay with a time of 41.56, as Boen Brockmiller, Will Stewart, Dane Treiber and Luke Erdman combined for the new program standard.
