WASHINGTON – Saint Louis was picked to finish second in the 2026 Atlantic 10 Conference women's soccer race in preseason balloting by A-10 head coaches, the league office announced Monday.
The Billikens received three of 14 first-place votes and totaled 182 of a possible 196 points.
The 11-member preseason All-Conference team includes two Billikens – graduate defender
Camille Welker and sophomore defender
Blakely Hockett.
Dayton, the 2025 regular-season and tournament champion, garnered nine first-place nods and tallied 188 points.
Rhode Island (164 points, one first-place vote) was third, with Fordham (135), Loyola Chicago (133) and Duquesne (130) tightly bunched for places four through six. VCU (111, one first-place vote) and La Salle (92) rounded out the top eight.
George Mason (90) was ninth, followed by Davidson (71), Saint Joseph's (64), Richmond (55), George Washington (41) and St. Bonaventure (14).
Saint Louis opens the season Wednesday, Aug. 12, against Alabama at Robert R. Hermann Stadium. First whistle is scheduled for 7 p.m.
