John DiRaimondo, a two-time Billiken All-American, is entering his second season as the program's senior graduate manager. DiRaimondo is working toward his MBA at Saint Louis University.

"John DiRaimondo is a great addition to our staff," McGinty said. "He is young, energetic and has experienced success at many levels. He works well with the rest of the coaching staff, and having played here he has great passion for SLU soccer."

"I am excited to be back on campus and look forward to the opportunity to not only begin my coaching career, but to continue my education at SLU," DiRaimondo said. "I want to see the program do well, and I'm eager to contribute to the success of Saint Louis soccer. Coach McGinty has a great vision for the program, and I'm thrilled that I can be a part of it."

After wrapping up his successful collegiate career in 2006, DiRaimondo played professionally with the Colorado Rapids and D.C. United in Major League Soccer. He helped the Rapids to an MLS Reserve division championship in 2006, and became an integral part of the Rapids' midfield in 2008. During that season, he made 11 appearances (eight starts) and scored a goal against the Kansas City Wizards.

In 2009, DiRaimondo was picked up by D.C. United, where he helped the club to a U.S. Open Cup championship appearance. While with United, he also played on loan with the Harrisburg City (Pa.) Islanders and the Richmond (Va.) Kickers.

DiRaimondo enjoyed a prosperous four-year Billiken career. In 2006, he earned third-team All-America plaudits from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America after registering five goals and five assists. His most productive season came in 2005 when he notched 28 points (9G, 10A) en route to being named the Atlantic 10 Conference's Offensive Player of the Year. As a freshman, he collected 10 assists and was named second-team All-Conference USA.

DiRaimondo was an ESPN the Magazine Academic All-American in 2006. In addition, he was named the A-10's Male Student-Athlete of the Year as well as an NSCAA Scholar American. In 2004 and 2005, DiRaimondo earned ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District and conference All-Academic Team honors.

A native St. Louisan, DiRaimondo attended the U.S. Soccer residency program in Bradenton, Fla., following his freshman year at Saint Louis University High School. He was selected for the United States Under-17 squad and scored twice in an U-17 World Cup qualifier in Guatemala. His association with the U.S. National Team took him to Finland for the 2003 FIFA U-17 World Championship and to Korea in 2004 on a tour with the U.S. Under-20 National Team.
