Former Monmouth University standout Nicola Pipoli will serve as a Saint Louis tennis assistant coach for a second year in 2020-21.
 
Pipoli was a seven-time All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference player at Monmouth, earning first-team honors four times in doubles and twice in singles as well as a second-team nod in singles. He was the 2018 MAAC Player of the Year, the 2016 MAAC co-Rookie of the Year, and the 2017 and 2019 MAAC Championships Most Outstanding Performer.
 
Pipoli reached No. 99 in the ITA NCAA Division I rankings and concluded his career with a 61-28 singles record and a 47-23 doubles mark. He helped lead Monmouth to an ITA Northeast Region No. 9 ranking in 2019.
 
Pipoli also excelled in the classroom. He garnered MAAC All-Academic plaudits in his sophomore, junior and senior seasons and was an ITA Scholar-Athlete in 2018.
 
A native of Polignano a Mare, Italy, Pipoli won the U-14 and U-16 singles and team regional tournaments, played in the Italian Team Championship Serie A2, and was ranked No. 88 in Italy in 2016.

Pipoli, a 2019 Monmouth graduate with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, is pursuing an MBA at Saint Louis.
