Collin O'Brien

Former Billiken standout Collin O’Brien serves the Saint Louis swimming and diving program as a volunteer assistant coach.
 
O’Brien concluded his collegiate career in 2020 by scoring in seven events at the Atlantic 10 Championships, including fourth, fifth and eighth in the 100 breast, 200 breast and 200 IM, respectively. He was a five-time A-10 Championships medalist, winning gold in the 200 breast (2019) and 800 free relay (2018), silver in the 400 free relay (2017), and bronze in the 200 breast (2018) and 400 free relay (2018).
 
A native of Edwards, Illinois, O’Brien set school records in the 200 breast, 200 IM and 100 IM, and he swam NCAA “B” cuts in the 100 breast, 200 breast and 200 IM in 2018. He was a two-time Billiken co-Most Valuable Performer, a 2019-20 team captain, a 2019-20 CoSIDA Academic All-District choice, and a three-time selection to the A-10 All-Academic team.
 
O’Brien was named SLU’s Outstanding Male Senior Student-Athlete for 2019-20. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace engineering and works as a structural design engineer at The Boeing Company in St. Louis.
