PRIOR TO SLU
Earned four varsity letters at John Champe, competing primarily in the 50 free, 100 free and 100 fly … team captain and team MVP as a senior, earning first-team All-State honors and finishing second in the state in the 50 free … made the All-State first team and swam on the Knights’ state champion 200 free relay team as a junior … honorable mention All-State in the 50 free, first-team All-District and first-team All-Region in his sophomore season … was a member of John Champe’s school-record-setting 200 free, 200 medley and 400 free relay teams … with Nation’s Capital Swim Club, competed on the second-place 200 free relay and eighth-place 200 medley relay teams at the NCSA Junior Nationals … also played baseball.
