PRIOR TO SLU
Earned four varsity letters at Marquette, competing primarily in the 200 IM and 100 breast … All-State and the Mustangs’ Most Valuable Performer as a sophomore, junior and senior … All-Metro St. Louis as a junior and senior … team captain as a senior … turned in three top-6 performances in both the 200 IM and 100 breast at the state meet, with top times of 1:52.96 and 57.82 (school record), respectively … swam on Marquette’s 200 medley relay team that clocked a school-record 1:38.53 … helped lead the Mustangs to a ninth-place state finish (highest in 10 years) in 2023 and a conference title in 2020 … also competed for Parkway Swim Club, swimming on several freestyle relay teams that set club records … named a 2021 Parkway Star … Parkway placed third in the overall team standings at the 2024 sectional meet and was third in the men’s standings at the 2022 and 2024 sectionals … also played junior varsity tennis all four years … four-year straight-A student with a 4.42 weighted grade point average … National Honor Society member … earned the Marquette Gold Scholar Athlete Award all four years … in 2024, was the recipient of Marquette’s NHS Leadership Scholarship, Chris Lenzen Mustang Character Award for Sportsmanship, President’s Award for Educational Excellence and Senior Star Award … won the 2023 UMSL Distinguished German Student Award … earned numerous awards for video productions from various journalism organizations.
