Anne Gloden is in her first season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Saint Louis University women’s soccer team.

Gloden served two seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Toledo. She helped guide the Rockets to Mid-American Conference regular-season and tournament titles and an NCAA Championship berth in 2011, as well as a MAC regular-season co-championship in 2010. Gloden was a graduate assistant at Western Illinois University in 2008 and 2009.

Gloden spent three years as a staff coach with the Michigan Olympic Development Program. She was head coach of the ’95 girls’ state team that captured the 2012 Region II championship. Gloden also served a three-year stint as a staff coach for the Pacesetter Soccer Club in Sylvania, Ohio, guiding the club’s U-17 team to a berth in the State Cup final.

A 2008 cum laude graduate of Central Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in physical education, Gloden was a four-year starting goalkeeper for the Chippewas. She set school career records for wins, shutouts and saves as well as Mid-American Conference marks for career wins and shutouts. Gloden was a three-time All-Conference selection, earning first-team plaudits as a junior and senior and a second-team nod her sophomore year.

Gloden holds a master’s degree in sports management from Western Illinois (2010). She is married to Billiken assistant coach Scott Gloden.
