Rob LaMear
became part of the Billiken women's soccer staff in August 2005, adding to his
already impressive club and prep coaching resume.
In 2008,
LaMear was the senior youth director for the girls' program at St. Louis Scott
Gallagher Soccer Club and a member of the Region 2 Olympic Development Program
(ODP) staff. He had served on the Missouri ODP girls' coaching staff since
2003.
LaMear
helped form Missouri Premier SC, a girls-only club, in 2006 and acted as its
executive director until 2008 when it merged with Gallagher SC. Missouri
Premier had several age groups ranked in the top 30 nationally in its inaugural
season. The U-15 MP merged team was the 2008 national runner-up.
Prior to
joining Missouri Premier, LaMear was director of coaching for the Wolfpack SC
girls' program. He led the U-14 and U-18 clubs to the Missouri State Cup final
in 2005, with the U-14 club claiming the championship.
A part of
Wolfpack SC since 1996, LaMear was named director of coaching in 2000. He held
that title for the boys' program in 2001 and 2002 as well. LaMear led Wolfpack
groups to Missouri state championships in 2002 (U-15) and 2005 (U-14) and took
four other teams to State Cup finals. His 1999 U-17 team was a USA Cup
finalist, and his U-16 group won the 2003 U.S. Club Soccer regional
championship.
In
addition to his club coaching, LaMear was an assistant at Visitation Academy in
St. Louis in 2004 and 2005. The Vivettes were the Missouri 1A state champions
in 2004 and district champs in 2005.
LaMear's
lengthy playing career included three seasons at Notre Dame, where he earned
bachelor's degrees in English and business in 1991. He went on to play two
seasons for Sutton United of the Diadora League in London and one year for the
French Division 2 team Amiens AC.
LaMear
also holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Missouri-St. Louis. He earned
a U.S. Soccer Federation A coaching license in 2010.
In his spare time, LaMear acts as CEO of the
SharePoint hosting pioneer FPWEB.NET. He and his wife, Bridgid, have two
daughters, Brynn and Kyan. When not in the board room or on the pitch, he may
be found fly fishing in a local trout stream.
