Alison Muenz-Winkler began her second stint on the Sports Performance staff in June 2022. Previously, she worked at SLU from 2014 to 2020, and Bellarmine University from 2020 to 2022.

While at Bellarmine, Muenz-Winkler oversaw training from women’s basketball, women’s soccer, softball, field hockey, and women’s and men’s tennis and swimming.

Muenz-Winkler also has work experience at the University of Evansville, where for two years she served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach. At UE, she worked primarily with the women's basketball, softball, swimming and diving and tennis teams.

Prior to her stint at Evansville, Muenz-Winkler was an intern at Murray State for one year. Her previous experience also includes working as a personal trainer/fitness specialist at Baptist East Milestone Wellness Center and an intern at the Louisville Sports Performance Institute.

Muenz-Winkler earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Louisville, the former in exercise science and the latter in exercise physiology with a concentration in strength and conditioning. She is a certfied CSCCa Strength and Conditioning Coach, a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, earned her Functional Movement Screen Certification and is a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach.
