Associate athletic trainer Ben Heimos has been a member of the Saint Louis University sports medicine staff since February 2017. Heimos is the athletic trainer for the Billikens’ men’s soccer, men’s swimming and diving, and baseball teams.

Heimos came to SLU following seven years on the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville sports medicine staff. He also has worked for the Bridgeport Bluefish minor league baseball team, Monroe County Physical Therapy, the Florida (now Miami) Marlins minor league system, HealthSouth, and Advanced Training and Rehab.

A 2002 graduate of the University of Evansville, Heimos holds Bachelor of Science degrees in athletic training and sports medicine. He earned a Master of Science degree in athletic training at Indiana State University in 2003.

Heimos was named the Florida Marlins’ 2006 Minor League Athletic Trainer of the Year.
