Jack Roberts was named assistant coach of the Saint Louis University men's soccer program in April 2023.
Since arriving at Saint Louis, Roberts has helped guide the Billikens to two NCAA Championship appearances, including a return to the NCAA Men's College Cup in 2025.Â
The 2025 season marked one of the finest campaigns in school history. The Billikens finished 13-3-8, captured both the Atlantic 10 regular-season and tournament championships, and advanced to the NCAA Men's College Cup for the first time since 1997. Saint Louis concluded the season ranked No. 4 in the final United Soccer Coaches poll after making the program's NCAA-record 52nd NCAA Tournament appearance.
In 2024, Roberts helped Saint Louis reach the title match of the A-10 Championship and earn an NCAA Championship berth.
A native of Leicester, England, Roberts has served assistant coaching stints at Brown, Stetson, Saint Leo, William Woods and his alma mater, Missouri State.
Roberts came to SLU after spending the 2022 season at Brown University, helping the Bears to their first winning season since 2015. He helped assemble the 2023 recruiting class that earned honorable mention recognition from Top Drawer Soccer.
While at Stetson from 2020-22, Roberts helped the Hatters climb to a top-75 RPI ranking while coaching two student-athletes to first-team All-Conference honors and another to ASUN Freshman of the Year accolades. He was at Saint Leo from 2019-20.
Roberts was hired as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Missouri State, in 2017. He helped the Bears capture the 2017 Missouri Valley Conference regular-season title. Missouri State entered the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 in 2018, and Roberts coached two All-Americans and 14 student-athletes who earned All-MVC honors during his tenure.
Roberts began his collegiate coaching career at William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri, where he served as an assistant coach. The 2016 team finished with a 12-7 record, including six conference victories, tying the program record for conference wins in a season.
A four-year member of the men's soccer program at Missouri State, Roberts was captain of three Bears teams that won MVC regular-season championships. Following graduation, he signed a one-year professional contract with Telford United in England.
Prior to his time at Missouri State, Roberts spent eight years in the academy system at Leicester City FC and three years with Lincoln City. During that time, he represented the Republic of Ireland at the U-19 level, making his international debut against Germany in 2008.
Roberts earned his bachelor's degree in communications from Missouri State in 2015 and completed his master's degree in communications from Missouri State in 2018.
