John Edwards arrived at Saint Louis University in September 2018 as Director of Leadership Annual Giving for the Billiken athletics department. Edwards is responsible for oversight of the department’s annual fund and for fundraising through season ticket holders, alumni and friends of the University.

Edwards came to SLU after serving two years as Assistant Director of Athletic Development at Missouri State University. His experience also includes an internship with the athletics director at St. Louis Community College and a graduate assistantship with the associate athletics director at Missouri State.

A St. Louis native, Edwards received academic honors while earning a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with a biology minor (2015) and a Master of Science Administrative Studies degree in sports management (2017) at Missouri State. He is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.

Edwards twice garnered third-team All-State football honors at Cardinal Ritter College Prep. He played as a freshman at Valparaiso University before transferring to Missouri State, where he played his final three campaigns after sitting out a season due to NCAA transfer rules.
