Lina Schubert enters her second season as a graduate assistant coach with the Saint Louis University men's and women's track and field program in 2026-27.
Schubert, a Regensburg, Germany, native, joined the Billikens after a successful collegiate career at San Jose State, where she established herself as one of the Spartans' top high jumpers. She holds the San Jose State school record in the women's high jump with a mark of 1.77 meters (5-9.6), set at the 2023 Don Kirby Invitational. She also owns the second- and third-best high jump marks in school history.
In 2023, Schubert recorded the top women's high jump mark in the Mountain West outdoor season, clearing 1.73 meters (5-8) at both the Stanford Invitational and Cardinal Classic. She finished second at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships and placed third at the Stanford Invitational. During the 2023 indoor season, she earned third place in the high jump at the Mountain West Championships and competed in the pentathlon, finishing second at the Wesley A. Brown Invitational.
Schubert also enjoyed a strong 2022 campaign, winning the high jump at both the Cal Opener and Cardinal Classic and finishing sixth at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships. She recorded a personal-best 1.73-meter mark at the Don Kirby Open.
In addition to her accomplishments on the track, Schubert was a standout academically. She was named Academic All-Mountain West in 2022, 2024 and 2025, earned CSC Academic All-District honors in 2023 and was recognized as a Mountain West Scholar-Athlete in 2021-22.
