Reese Ramirez joined the Saint Louis University athletics staff as an assistant athletic trainer in July 2024. She oversees the care of the volleyball and softball teams.

Ramirez comes to SLU after serving as a certified athletic trainer at Webster University, where she provided injury evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation services for 14 NCAA Division III programs. In her role, she worked closely with student-athletes, coaches and sports performance staff while overseeing concussion management, injury documentation, physician referrals and return-to-play protocols.

Prior to Webster, Ramirez was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. During her time at SIUE, she provided medical coverage for more than 50 club sports and assisted with several NCAA Division I programs, including baseball, women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, softball, women's tennis and wrestling. She also gained extensive experience managing COVID-19 protocols, coordinating medical care and traveling with teams for competition.

A native of Tucson, Arizona, Ramirez earned a master's degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in sport and exercise psychology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2021. She received bachelor's degrees in athletic training and corporate fitness/wellness management from Minot State University in 2019.

Reese and her fiance, Josh, reside in south St. Louis with their German shorthaired pointers, Thunder and Lightning.
