Scott Gloden is in his second season as assistant women’s soccer coach at Saint Louis University.
“Scott is an experienced assistant coach and is well respected in the soccer coaching community," head coach Katie Shields said. "He has a strong eye for talent and brings an excellent network of connections with club coaches throughout the Midwest and the nation that benefits our recruiting efforts. Scott is a hard-working and detailed coach who is dedicated to our vision of returning SLU women’s soccer to a championship-level program.”

Gloden served as women’s soccer program assistant at the University of Michigan before coming to SLU, and he has worked in three other NCAA Division I women’s soccer programs. He was an assistant coach in 2011-12 at the University of Cincinnati, where he was responsible for mentoring the Bearcats’ goalkeepers, and was the top assistant at Bowling Green State University (2007-11) and Saint Francis (Pa.) University (2004-07). Gloden served as Bowling Green’s recruiting coordinator.
Since 2007, Gloden has served as an ODP girls’ staff coach with Ohio Youth Soccer Association North in Cleveland. He has spent time as Ohio North head coach and as a Region II staff coach. Additionally, Gloden was a girls’ staff coach for the Pacesetter Soccer Club in Sylvania, Ohio, from 2009-12. He was head coach of the club’s U-18 team that reached the State Cup semifinals two consecutive years.
Gloden is a 1998 graduate of Michigan, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in general studies with a concentration in classical civilization. He holds a master’s degree in sports administration from Wayne State (Mich.) University as well as a United States Soccer Federation National “A” coaching license.
Gloden is married to Billiken volunteer assistant coach Anne Gloden. They have a daughter, Evelyn.
