Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Development & Revenue Generation Sean Bourke was hired at Saint Louis University in August 2025.
With the Billikens, Bourke will lead the department’s development and fundraising efforts – which includes the Billiken Club – as well as all areas of revenue generation including ticketing. Additionally, he serves as the department’s liaison for SLU’s Development and Alumni Relations departments.
Bourke came to SLU after spending the last two years at Creighton University as Assistant Athletic Director for Development. There, he worked with donors to secure major gift commitments. The Bluejays' major giving society, Champions Circle, saw a membership increase of 40% and a revenue increase of 63% during his tenure. Bourke also led a restructure of Creighton's men's basketball seat donations and ticket prices, annual giving levels and benefits, and priority points.
For five years before arriving at Creighton, Bourke worked at the University of Wisconsin in the Badgers’ development office. There, he gained experience in day-to-day operations of Wisconsin’s annual fund while overseeing premium seating areas at UW’s athletic venues.
Bourke begin his professional career at the University of Nebraska as a development assistant.
A four-year basketball student-athlete at Loras College, Bourke was the team captain his senior season. He earned a B.A. in Sport Management & Finance from Loras in 2016 and a M.A. in Business from Nebraska in 2018.
Sean and his wife, Sarah, have a son, Beau, and dog, Gracie.
