St. Louis-area native Stephanie Winter joined the Billiken softball staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2013 season.

Winter arrived at SLU following two seasons as an assistant coach at Upper Iowa. In addition to her on-field duties, she served as the Peacocks' camp director, managed players' academics and planned the team's community service events.

Winter spent the previous two years as an assistant coach at Northern Iowa, where she was a member of the 2009 Missouri Valley Conference softball Coaching Staff of the Year and helped guide the Panthers to a pair of MVC Tournament berths. She also directed the program's camps.

A 2008 University of Michigan graduate with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology, Winter was a student assistant coach at her alma mater during the 2008 campaign.

Winter played four seasons at Michigan, where she was a member of Wolverine teams that captured the 2005 national championship, reached the 2004 Women's College World Series, competed in four NCAA regionals and three super-regionals, and won four Big Ten Conference crowns (two regular season, two tournament). She garnered Academic All-Big Ten accolades three times and was a four-time recipient of Michigan's academic achievement award.

Winter is pursuing a master's degree in human performance at Lindenwood University.
