Memphis, Tenn. - On Apr. 1, the Bills faced the Golden Eagles of Southern Miss in the morning match and lost 5-2. In the No. 1 singles slot, junior Jayasree Kuruvilla (Chicago, Ill. / Lane Tech) lost to Almuit Gaude 6-2, 6-4. Senior Andra Wilcox (Auburn, N.Y. / Auburn) lost to Patricia Kundisova 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 2 position while sophomore Julie Siemers (St. Louis, Mo. / St. Joseph's Academy) defeated her No. 3 opponent, Caroline Weems, 6-4, 6-0. Junior Ingrid Habony (Budapest, Hungary / Wolosmarthy) was the No. 4 position winner over Jackie Prew, 6-2, 6-3. Freshman Vicki Zielinski (Toronto, Ontario / Martingrove) lost to Shawny Price at the No. 5 slot by the score of 6-1, 6-1. Freshman Erin Kersten (Fort Dodge, Iowa / St. Edmond) was defeated 6-3, 6-4 at the No. 6 position by Marie Lundberg.

In the only doubles match between the two schools, the Billiken tandem of Zielinski/ Heather Holzgrafe (Quincy, Ill. / Quincy) was defeated by Lindberg/Molly Boutreis 8-2.
