Men's Tennis Opens Spring Season Against Dayton

Billikens Edge Chicago State, 4-3

Saint Louis men's tennis rallied for a 4-3 win against Chicago State Friday at the Sunset Tennis Center. With the victory, the Billikens improve their record to 2-4 on the season.

"On our trip back from Xavier last weekend, the team got together and addressed what they needed to do to get better," coach Paul Feder, because they initiated the idea and acted upon it."

The Billikens' No. 1 doubles team of Sean McManus and Feder picked up a crucial 8-2 win to clinch the doubles point for the Bills.

McManus and Matt Gordon picked up victories at No. 2 and No. 4 singles, respectively, and the Billikens earned a point on a default at No. 6 singles to seal the 4-3 victory.

SLU returns to action Fri., Mar. 3, when they host Eastern Illinois at The Billiken Tennis Center.
