RICHMOND, Va. - Junior Julia Bradenberg (St. Louis/Ursuline) registered her first game-winning goal of the season Sunday afternoon to give Saint Louis a 1-0 Atlantic 10 Conference victory over Richmond.

The victory, which extended SLU's winning streak to three games and its unbeaten streak to four, vaulted the Billikens (8-3-4, 4-2-1) into a fourth-place tie in the A-10. The shutout was the Bills' eighth of the season and third in succession. Richmond slipped to 9-6-1, 3-5-0.

Taking a cross from junior Megan Yossi (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy), Bradenberg drilled a shot past Richmond goalkeeper Andrea Young at the 66:13 mark. The assist gave Yossi her first career point.

Bradenberg's goal lifted her into a tie with junior Kelly Waeckerle (St. Louis/Parkway West) for the team lead in goals (four) and points (nine). It also tied her with Waeckerle for seventh on SLU's career game-winning goals list (seven). Bradenberg now is tied for ninth in career goals (17) and ranks 10th in career points (46) on the Saint Louis charts.

Freshman keeper Hannah Perry (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton North), who has played every minute in goal this season, made three saves to take over sole possession of second place on the Billiken freshman list with 60 saves. Young made two stops for the Spiders, who nipped Saint Louis 11-10 in total shots.

The Billikens play their final two regular-season home games this weekend. Xavier visits Robert R. Hermann Stadium Friday, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. Dayton, tied for second place in the A-10 with Fordham, is the opponent Sunday. Senior Day activities for five SLU seniors will precede the 1 p.m. kickoff.
