KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island tallied a goal just moments into the game and went on to post a 1-0 Atlantic 10 Conference victory over Saint Louis Sunday afternoon in the Billikens' final regular-season contest.

Stephanie Santos, assisted by Alexis Veith and Adrienne Ruhe Lischke, converted a point-blank shot just 3:51 into the match to give Rhode Island (7-12-1, 3-8-0) the victory. The Billikens out-shot the Rams 7-6 but managed to fire just one of those seven shots on goal. Freshman keeper Hannah Perry (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton North) made two saves for the Bills, who also earned a 5-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Saint Louis (10-5-4, 6-4-1) tied with St. Bonaventure (11-7-1, 6-4-1) for fourth place in the final A-10 standings. The Billikens and Bonnies will square off Thursday, Nov. 6, in the first round of the six-team Atlantic 10 Conference Championship. Game time at SLU's Robert R. Hermann Stadium is 5:30 p.m.
