Box Score

BRONX, N.Y. - Saint Louis freshman Hannah Perry (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton North) made five saves, but Fordham parlayed a 14-5 advantage in shots into a 2-0 Atlantic 10 Conference victory over the Billikens Sunday afternoon.

Kim Boulos gave the Rams (5-3-1, 2-0-0 A-10) all they would need at the 16:40 mark by netting her fifth goal of the season. Katie Sanchez tacked on a goal, her third of the year, with a header off a corner kick at 89:46. Mariella Romano collected an assist on both goals.

Perry made four of her five saves in the first half to keep the Billikens (5-2-3, 1-1-0) close. Saint Louis chalked up four shots in the second half after producing just one in the opening period, but the Fordham defense held firm and registered its third shutout of the season. Junior Kelly Waeckerle (St. Louis/Parkway West) and freshman Jessica Lopez (Chandler, Ariz./Seton Catholic Prep) recorded two shots apiece for SLU.

The Billikens travel to Charlotte, N.C., on Saturday, Oct. 4, to take on the A-10 co-leader and defending champion 49ers. Game time is 6 p.m. (CT).
