ST. LOUIS - Dwayne Evans and Mike McCall tallied 16 points apiece, and Saint Louis registered a Chaifetz Arena scoring record in a 90-52 victory over Chicago State Tuesday night.

Evans collected a game- and career-high 17 rebounds for his fifth double-double overall, second straight and third in four games. He was 6-of-11 from the field and 4-of-4 from the foul line and added a game-high three blocks.

The Billikens' 90-point output was their first since a 91-56 victory over Houston Baptist on Nov. 10, 2007. The last time SLU scored 90 points at home was in a 92-74 triumph over DePaul on Jan. 8, 2002.

The Billikens (10-17) shot 57.9 percent (22-of-38) from the floor in the second half and finished the game at 50.7 percent (36-of-71). Chicago State (6-22) managed just 31.6 percent (18-of-57) on the night. Saint Louis earned a 50-27 advantage on the boards, including 18-9 on the offensive glass.

McCall's 6-of-11 performance from the field included 2-of-3 from 3-point land. He added three assists and three steals. Brian Conklin had 14 points, seven rebounds and a career-high four assists, while Rob Loe chipped in 10 points and tied his career highs with nine total rebounds and a game-high five offensive caroms.

Christian Salecich distributed four assists for the Billikens. Carl Montgomery scored a game-high 22 points for Chicago State, while Hajji Martin and Jonathon Montgomery netted 10 points apiece.

The Billikens hit five of their first seven shots, including three straight Evans buckets, to take a 10-6 lead at the first media timeout. After Chicago State cut the margin in half on Carl Montgomery's third basket, Jordair Jett made a baseline jumper, McCall sank a free throw and Jett connected from just inside the top of the key for a 15-8 SLU advantage.

Jonathon Montgomery drilled a 3-pointer to make it a 15-11 game, but that was the last field goal the Cougars would register for more than nine minutes. Meanwhile, six Billikens scored during a 17-2 outburst that gave SLU the first of four 19-point first-half leads, 32-13, at the 4:05 mark. The Bills led 38-21 at the break.

The Billikens gained their first 20-point lead, 47-27, on a McCall 3-pointer with 16:38 remaining. Chicago State drew no closer than 17 the rest of the way.

Saint Louis returns to Atlantic 10 Conference action Saturday, Feb. 26, when Duquesne comes to town. Tip time at Chaifetz Arena is 7 p.m.
