Lee Scores in 3-1 Loss at No. 18 Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - No. 18 Indiana scored three times in the first half en route to a 3-1 victory against the Saint Louis Billikens Friday night in men's soccer action at Armstrong Stadium. Freshman Raymond Lee notched his second goal of the season for the Billikens.

The match was part of Indiana's adidas/IU Credit Union Classic. On Sunday, the Billikens face No. 10 Notre Dame, which beat Dayton 4-1 Friday in the tournament. Kickoff is slated for 10:30 a.m. (St. Louis time).

The Billikens (0-2) fell behind 3-0 in the first half before Lee got the Billikens on the board in the final minute of the frame. He collected a loose ball near the top of the box and fired past the IU goalkeeper into the right side of the net to trim the Billiken deficit to two.

Indiana (1-0-1) got goals from Eriq Zavaleta (19th minute), Alec Purdie (28th minute) and benefited from an own goal (43rd minute) to take a 3-1 advantage into halftime.

The Billiken defense, anchored by junior goalkeeper Mark Pais, fought off 11 Hoosiers shots in the second half to keep IU off the scoreboard. Lee led the Billikens with a pair of shots in the match, while Pais made four saves.
