Billikens Blank Duquesne, 2-0

ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis men's soccer put two goals on the board in the first half and made them stand for a 2-0 victory against Duquesne Sunday in Pittsburgh.

The Billikens improve to 9-3-2 overall and remain unbeaten in Atlantic 10 Conference play with a 3-0-2 record. Duquesne dips to 7-7 overall and 2-3 in the league.

Senior midfielder Alex Sweetin had a goal and an assist for SLU. Junior forward Raymond Lee netted the game-winner early on. Senior goalkeeper Nick Shackelford made four saves and moved to third all alone on SLU's all-time wins list for goalkeepers.

Lee got the Billikens on the board in the seventh minute. He took a pass from Sweetin and fired into the lower right corner for his third tally of the season.

Saint Louis made it 2-0 in the 35th minute on Sweetin's fifth goal of the year. He moved in on a breakaway and fired into the left corner for a key insurance marker.

Shackelford was issued a red card in the 82nd minute and was replaced by freshman David Andre.

The Billikens return to action Thursday, Oct. 31, traveling to Louisville to take on the nationally ranked Cardinals at 6 p.m. (CT).
