Box Score DAVIDSON, N.C. – Second-half goals by Mary Wright and Kirsten Clemens lifted Saint Louis to a 2-0 Atlantic 10 Conference victory over Davidson Saturday night at Alumni Stadium.
The Billikens, who won for a third time in four games, evened their records at 8-8 overall and 3-3 in conference play. New A-10 member Davidson fell to 4-12-1, 1-5.
Wright gave the Bills all the scoring they would need at the 60:53 mark with her first goal of the season. She connected on a header off a cross from Lindsay Elking, who tallied her team-high-tying fifth assist of the year.
Clemens provided insurance at 80:28 with her team-leading seventh goal of the season. She secured a loose ball in the box following Shaney Sakamoto's free kick and found the target. Sakamoto's assist was her first collegiate point.
Hanna Benben made three saves to register her second shutout of the season.
The Billikens host VCU Friday, Oct. 31, at 7 p.m.
