The Basics
Saint Louis senior Filip Pavisic scored in the 54th minute to propel the Billikens past Davidson 1-0 Saturday night in Atlantic 10 Conference men's soccer play at Hermann Stadium.
The win, SLU's third in a row, improves its record to 7-5-2 overall and 3-1-2 in A-10 play. Davidson falls to 5-7-3 and 2-4 in the A-10.
Senior Faik Hajderovic started the scoring play on a beautiful service off a dead ball. Pavisic met it in the air and headed the ball into the opposite side netting. It was Pavisic's team-leading fifth goal of the season.
Sophomore goalkeeper Sascha Otte recorded his third consecutive shutout. He had to be sharp late in the first half on a deflection off a SLU defender on a Davidson corner kick. Otte punched the ball over the cross bar to keep it a 0-0 game at the time.
