THE BASICS
Shaney Sakamoto scored the first goal of the season and later added an assist to lead Saint Louis to a 3-1 victory over Kansas State Friday night at Robert R. Hermann Stadium in the season opener for both teams. The game was the first intercollegiate contest for the brand new Kansas State program.
