The Basics
No. 8 (NSCAA) Denver scored a pair of goals late in the first half and posted a 2-0 victory over Saint Louis Thursday in nonconference men's soccer action in Denver, Colo.

The Billikens fall to 1-2-2 overall. Denver improves to 6-0-1 and extends its regular-season unbeaten streak to 24.

The teams encountered a nearly 40-minute delay due to lightning just after Kortne Ford scored for the Pioneers in the 37th minute. When action resumed, Denver tacked on another goal in the 41st minute and took a 2-0 lead into halftime.

The Billikens were unable to break through offensively and the Pioneers hung on for the 2-0 victory.
