The Basics
Playing their fourth ranked opponent of the season, Saint Louis fell 1-0 to No. 13 Louisville Tuesday night in nonconference men's soccer action at Hermann Stadium.
The Billikens fall to 1-3-2 overall. Louisville won its fourth in a row and improves to 6-1-1 on the season.
Louisville leading scorer Mohamed Thiaw scored in the 11th minute to put the Cardinals on top, and that score held up.
The Billikens were unable to break through offensively but had some chances, especially late. Saint Louis earned five corner kicks, all in the second half, and out-shot the Cardinals 6-4 in the second session. Louisville's Stefan Cleveland made four saves for his sixth shutout of the season.
