SETTING THE SCENE
-- Saint Louis (5-14, 1-6 A-10) welcomes Massachusetts to Chaifetz Arena on Wednesday. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.

-- SLU head coach Travis Ford faces his former team UMass for the first time in his coaching career. Ford was the head coach of the Minutemen from 2005 to 2008.
-- Saint Louis is coming off a 67-46 loss at first-place Dayton on Sunday. UMass fell 71-68 at home against Fordham in its most recent outing.
-- Junior guard Davell Roby averages 10.4 ppg, including a team-high 10.3 ppg in A-10 games only. In A-10 games only, he leads the league in free-throw percentage (16-of-17, .941) and is sixth in the A-10 in 3-point field-goal percentage (12-of-25, .480).
-- Senior forward Reggie Agbeko scores 9.6 ppg and is tied for third in the Atlantic 10 Conference with 7.7 rpg. His 55.9 percent shooting mark from the field is fifth in the A-10. He has four double-doubles on the season and seven in his career.
-- Senior guard Mike Crawford averages 9.3 ppg. Redshirt freshman forward Elliott Welmer scores 7.4 ppg and is tied for 11th in the league in 3-point FG percentage in A-10 games only (9-of-20, .450).
-- Freshman forward Jalen Johnson has started the last four games and is averaging 10.0 ppg and 5.3 rpg during that stretch. Fellow true freshman Zeke Moore missed the Dayton game due to injury.
-- Redshirt junior guard Aaron Hines has started the last 10 games and is fourth on the Billikens with 8.7 ppg in A-10 play. He is averaging 36.1 mpg in A-10 play, seventh in the league.
-- First-year Billikens head coach Travis Ford is in his 20th season as a collegiate head coach and has a 350-271 career mark.

LAST TIME OUT
-- Saint Louis fell 67-46 at Dayton on Sunday afternoon.
-- Mike Crawford led the Billikens with 11 points and tied a season high with eight rebounds. Aaron Hines chipped in with nine points. Reggie Agbeko and Davell Roby recorded seven points apiece.
-- The Billikens got off to a fast start, going on top 10-4 a little more than three minutes into the contest. But Dayton would go on a 21-2 rally from that point, and the Flyers took a 31-18 lead into the break.
-- The second half saw the Flyers shoot 50 percent from the field, and they held a comfortable lead throughout en route to the 21-point win.
SCOUTING UMASS
-- The University of Massachusetts (Amherst, Mass.) enters Wednesday's game with a 12-8 overall record and a 2-5 mark in A-10 play.
-- Three Minutemen average double figures in scoring, led by Donte Clark's 13.8 ppg.
-- Rashaan Holloway and Luwane Pipkins average 11.8 ppg and 10.9 ppg, respectively.
-- Holloway ranks second in the Atlantic 10 with his 63.4 field goal percentage (90-of-142) through games of Jan. 22. He is the Minutemen's top rebounder at 6.2 rpg.
-- Pipkins is second in the A-10 with 2.4 steals per game.
-- The Minutemen are eighth in the league in scoring offense (72.8 ppg) and fifth in the A-10 in scoring defense (69.4 ppg).
-- Head coach Derek Kellogg is 152-127 in nine years at UMass.
