GAME DETAILS
• Maddie Pokorny scored her fourth goal of the season in the 41st minute, and Saint Louis defeated Rhode Island 1-0 in Atlantic 10 Conference women's soccer action Thursday night at Robert R. Hermann Stadium.
• Pokorny headed in a long cross from Haley Cox, who registered her first assist as a Billiken.
• The Billikens, who have won four straight and six of their last seven games, improved to 8-3-1 overall and 3-0 in the A-10. Rhode Island fell to 0-11, 0-3.
• SLU remained tied with Massachusetts, VCU and Fordham for first place in the A-10.

• The Pokorny-Cox scoring tandem was the Billikens' 15th different player combination on 18 assisted goals this season.

• The shutout was SLU's seventh of the season and fifth in the last seven games. Kasey Hartmann, starting in goal for the first time in her Billiken career, stopped the only Rhode Island shot on goal and notched her first victory. Olivia Silverman was between the posts in the second half.
