RECAP
Saint Louis scored three goals in an impressive 10-minute stretch in the first half to power the Billikens to a 3-1 win over Marquette Tuesday at Robert R. Hermann Stadium.

The win was the first of the season for the Billikens, who improve to 1-1-1. Additionally, it marked the first win of SLU head coach Kevin Kalish's Billiken tenure, and was the 50th of his collegiate career.

The Billikens were all over Marquette (2-1) in the opening stanza. Eric Davies started the scoring for Saint Louis when he buried a Ben Huels cross in the 19th minute.

Huels started the next scoring play in the 25th minute, as he and Devin Boyce connected and passed to Anthony Brown to put SLU up 2-0. It was Brown's team-leading third goal of the year.

Minutes later, Leo Novaes took a ball from Brown and scored to make it 3-0 Billikens.

That was plenty of cushion, as Marquette managed to put just one past SLU goal Ty Frederking when Luka Prpa scored on a free kick from beyond the top of the 18.

Saint Louis outshot Marquette 10-3 and had a 3-1 edge in corner kicks. 

The Billikens return to action on Saturday night when they host Marquette at Hermann Stadium. Game time is 7 p.m.
