Longwood scored twice early in the third quarter and upended the Billikens 2-0 Tuesday in nonconference field hockey action in Farmville, Virginia.

SLU falls to 0-14 with the loss, while Longwood improves to 7-8.

The Lancers scored twice less than a minute apart early in the second half to grab a lead they would not relinquish.

SLU goalie Sasha Sander made save saves for the Billikens.

The Billikens are back in action Sunday, Oct. 27, when they entertain Lock Haven at Sportport International. Game time is noon.
