Saint Louis handed VCU their first set loss since Sept. 27, taking the first two on Friday night, but the Rams bounced back and grabbed the final three to remain undefeated in conference play.
The Billikens fell to 15-11 on the year, 9-4 in the A-10, while VCU moved to 22-5, 13-0 in league play.
Junior Juliana Phillips had a career-high four service aces, along with seven kills and two digs.
Senior Lauren Mershon led SLU with a .667 attack percentage, recording nine kills on twelve attempts in the match.
Kennedy Cordia eclipsed the 900-assist mark on the season, tallying 33 on the night and bringing her total to 932. She also collected eight digs, two kills and one service ace.
Sien Gallop and Maya Taylor each recorded 11 kills in the match. Gallop also turned in seven digs, one service ace and one block.
The Billikens will celebrate senior day on Sunday prior to their match against Davidson, where they'll honor Mershon and Gallop. First serve is set for noon in the Pavilion.
