Sophomore Myia Clark scored a career-high 22 points in the Billikens' 61-56 win over Illinois State Sunday afternoon.
Saint Louis improved to 7-3 on the season, while the Redbirds slid to 6-2.
Guard Ciaja Harbison scored 11 of her season-high 20 points in the first half, leading the Billikens to a 29-21 lead at the break.
A 21-16 advantage in the third quarter, followed by a 5-0 run to start the fourth, gave Illinois State their first lead at 47-45 since the opening minutes of the game.
Following a Billikens' timeout after the Redbirds regained the lead, Clark took the game over.
The sophomore hit two of her four 3-pointers (tied career-high) in the quarter, giving her 10 of her game-high 22 points in the period. Clark's two free throws with under a minute left iced the game.
Saint Louis earned their way back into the win column, defeating the Redbirds 61-56.
Harbison finished with 20 points, along with a season-high six assists. She has scored 19 or more points in three straight contests.
Kendra Wilken and Brooke Flowers contributed seven points and six rebounds each.
The Billikens are back in action Dec. 20, when they welcome in Princeton.
